I have joined a writing course on Coursera, and there are some Writing Activities. Seemingly simple Writing Activities.

[Unless I am missing something]Unit 2. Module 1
In your journal, write down a list of at least five to ten nouns and five to ten adjectives as you observe a scene at home, work, or in your community.

Reminds me of that "name so many objects closest to you" meme.

Okay, here is what I have on my computer desk right now.
1. My mobile, which is dark purple, scratched and half-charged.
2. Several Happy New Year postcards.
3. A white, round, soft, newly washed hairbrush.
Are we doing Oxford commas?
4. Two water mugs. I'd forgotten about adjective numerals, if I ever knew about them.
It is not easy to come up with such simple descriptions, actually. O.o
5. An old black and a newer white battery charger.
6. Several memory sticks.
7. A pink mike-holding sunglasses-wearing snake figurine. Are those even adjectives.
8. An orange and yellow 60-inch-long measuring tape.
9. The boxed Star Trek movie set. And what the hell part of speech is "movie" here.
10. A dusty framed photograph.

Not so very easy, after all.

I think "movie set" is a compound noun, but I'm not really sure.
