In the PhD program have to pass three essential exams. At first we were told that we were having English and Philosophy at the end of our first year, and "specialty" the year after that.

Guess what? We are passing all three in the next 2 weeks. Learned about this yesterday. Got list of topics today. What can I say? I have never even heard about like a third of those, I do not know half of them anywhere near in enough depth. I would have known much more, in a year. Obviously. FUCK.

Oh my goodness... Very best of luck! At least English shouldn't be any problem at all for you. :-)

Thank you!

Yes, English won't be. One of the requirements for that exam is that we translate an article beforehand, and the professor told me my translation was the best she's read in years. It is nice of her to say, but not surprising, because I actually know what I am doing, both translation and formatting-wise. :)

Good luck to you! I'm confident you can handle anything the profs can throw at you.

Cheers...

Oh yes, especially because they do not want us to fail, lol.

Thank you!
